Here is a cool picture of all the kids in caregroup. From R to L starting with Carter on the bottom in plaid are Lucas, Zoe, Ella, Ciel, Lauren, and in the middle is Edwin who was just born in N Carolina.
Brady's family from Kentucky had a baby shower for Carter and sent him clothes, blankets, and several gifts. Two of the gifts are this quilt and rocking horse that Brady's grandma and grandpa made. The rocking horse matches the one on the quilt.
Mom with Carter
Mom & Bill came from Ohio to see the first new grandson. We had a great visit and while they were here, we planted a tree for Carter.
Dad built Carter this awsome cradle. As you can see, Carter likes it and didn't waist any time falling to sleep.
After all of the anticipation, Carter has arrived. He was born Sunday August 14th at 12:24 pm. He weighed 7 lbs,13 oz and was 19 inches long. He is healthy and couldn't be a better gift from God! We came home from the hospital on Tuesday and he has been doing great. We are so blessed to have him and totally in love.
Our August 7th due date has come and gone and we are still waiting. If Carter doesn't come on his own in the next few days Shannon will be induced this Saturday, August 13th, at noon. We'll keep you posted. :)
Here are two pictures of the nursery. Ready and waiting for Carter to arrive. Brady's Dad made the changing table in his woodworking shop. Thank you to our freinds and family that have given us so many wonderful gifts to fill the nursery.

This weekend we celebrated Shannon's Grandpa Bill's 80th birthday at a Dust Devil's baseball game. This is Shannon and her sister Carly with their matching shirts - but there is a big difference in their belly size. This is the start of the 37th week, Carter is officially full term and is ready to be born any day.

We went to Cannon Beach over the 4th of July. Cannon Beach is on the Oregon Coast. This was the last trip we will be able to take until Carter is here. Shannon can't travel now as it is 4 weeks until he is here. This is a waterfall on Hug Point. The tide is out and this is the only way we were able to get to this waterfall.
At the baby shower I had no idea that I would be geting a present. This is the Daddy's Diaper Duty Device. It is complete with goggles, face mask, tongs, latex gloves, and everything I will need to take on the diaper challenge.
Here is the awsome quilt that Andy made for Carter.
Here are a few pictures from Shannon's baby shower. There was a great carrot cake with a special alphabet block with Carters initials and due date on it. A family friend, Andy H., made this quilt especially for Carter. She used his bumper pad as a guide. She did such a great job and it will be a special treasure.

Here is Shannon with some of our friends. We have 4 friends who are either pregnant or have just had their baby. It has been fun for them to share their pregnancies together.

Here is Shannon after a scare that we had last Monday 3/28. The baby had laid on her blood supply and caused her to pass out. As she fell, she hit and broke her nose. After going to the hospital, the doctor said that Shannon and the baby are okay. Her blackeyes are almost gone and her nose is straight and healing :-)
