Happy New Year 2006

We had a great New Years celebration at Grandma and Grandpa Ross' house. We had a delicious dinner and then Brady gave us a fireworks show. We expected that Carter might be scared, but he loved the fireworks. He was so excited he was bouncing around, smiling and gigling. It was entertaining to watch him experience his first fireworks. Hope he is still this excited in July for the big show.

Carter's 1st Christmas

Carter's first Christmas was a good one. We spent it at home with the Richmond family. He got lots of gifts he was excited about. He liked holding the wrapping paper and bows and was really excited about the books he received and his toys. He was much more excited about Christmas than we expected...it made it a lot of fun for Mom and Dad.

Early Christmas Celebration

We spent a week with Grandma Vesta in Ohio and had an early Christmas Celebration. Carter got to meet a lot of new family and friends...little ones like him and Daddy's friends he grew up with too. We had a great time and Carter was a little angel.

Dickhaus Family Visit

The week before Christmas we took a trip to the Ohio/Kentucky area to visit family and friends. Carter got to meet lots of relatives on his Dickhaus family. They showered him with love and gifts and he never hit the ground. Here are a few pictures with his Great Grandparents and cousins.

Tree Hunting

Following our new tradition we went to the tree farm and cut down our family Christmas tree. Along with our friends and Aunt Jackie we looked high and low for the perfect trees in the snow. You can see Carter napped through most of the tree hunting, but he woke up long enough to capture some great photos with the little bear and his friend Lucas.

Big Guy - Little Guy

December was a great month. Brady was home all month and had extra time off...he spent it all with Carter. Carter loved hanging out with Dad. Great Grandma Richmond gave them these "Big Guy" and "Little Guy" matching shirts for Christmas...thankfully only Carter's has snaps on the bottom. :)

The Ross Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow....

We went to Montana to celebrate Thanskgiving with Shannon's Dad's family. While we were there Carter got to experience his first snow. It was fun to watch his reaction as the snow flakes hit his face. Posted by Picasa

New Employee

Carter came to visit me at the office. Now that he is getting old enough to sit, I am training him on the computer and phone so I can take a nap :-)

Carter's Dedication

We dedicated Carter on 11/5. Shannon and I made a commitment to God in front of our friends, family, and church that Carter will be raised by us in a Christian home. This means that we will share our Faith with him, pray for him, live as Christian parents to be an example for him, disciple him in the bible and in worship, and lead him to have a relationship with Jesus. It was also a commitment by our friends and family to keep us accountable in our raising Carter. Several of our friends also dedicated themselves to their children on the same night.

2 feet tall and standing

One of Carter's favorite things is to stand up and show off his leg muscles.

2 Month Checkup

Carter went to his 2 month chekup on October 17th. He was 25" long (98th percentile) and 12 lbs 12 oz (75th percentile). The doctor thinks he is going to be a "big guy".

At 6 weeks Carter went swimming. We went with our friends Kristi and Ryan and their son Ryker.

My favorite place to sleep.......

My favorite time to nap is in the Snuggly when mom and dad go on walks.

Pictures Of Carter

Here is a cool picture of all the kids in caregroup. From R to L starting with Carter on the bottom in plaid are Lucas, Zoe, Ella, Ciel, Lauren, and in the middle is Edwin who was just born in N Carolina. Posted by Picasa

Brady's family from Kentucky had a baby shower for Carter and sent him clothes, blankets, and several gifts. Two of the gifts are this quilt and rocking horse that Brady's grandma and grandpa made. The rocking horse matches the one on the quilt. Posted by Picasa

Mom with Carter Posted by Picasa

Mom & Bill came from Ohio to see the first new grandson. We had a great visit and while they were here, we planted a tree for Carter. Posted by Picasa

Dad built Carter this awsome cradle. As you can see, Carter likes it and didn't waist any time falling to sleep. Posted by Picasa
