Brotherly love

Here are some great pics of Logan and Carter enjoying each other. Everyday Carter tells me how he loves Logan, as soon as he wakes up he looks for him and he can't go to bed without giving him a hug and kiss. Logan always has a smile and laugh for Carter and is totally entertained by him. Watching these brothers makes me realize how awesome it is to grow up with someone and I appreciate the relationship I have with my sisters.

Carter cleared out all Logan's toys from this basket and then put him in. Logan didn't make a sound, he thought it was great. I knew I needed to scold Carter for picking up his brother, but it was too funny...after you laugh and take pictures I think it hurts your credibility. :)

Sitting up

Logan started siting up on February 18th. He loves to sit up because now he can see everything that is going on and it is easier to play with his toys. These are pictures from the first day he started sitting up by himself at 5 1/2 months

Valentine's Day

On Valentine's Logan had his first solid foods. He loves eating and his big brother loves to help feed him.

Carter had his first Valentine's party at preschool. He took Cookie Monster valentine's and fruit roll-ups. He did a great job decorating his card holder and he was so excited to check out his goodies inside you would have thought it was Christmas.

Weekend at WSU

Carly (Shannon's youngest sister) started school at WSU in Jan. We had a fun weekend moving her into her new apartment and taking in a WSU basketball game.

This is how Logan rolls

On Wednesday Logan rolled for the first time, three times in a row. Luckily I caught it on video because he would not roll when we tried to show Daddy and Carter.

Preschool christmas celebration

Because of the snow Carter's class missed their christmas party. They had a make-up party the first week in January and they recited this verse for the parents. Maybe (definitely) I am just a cheesy Mom, but I think it is adorable.

New Year's

We had a fun new year's eve ringing it in with friends. Carter's first time staying up until midnight. You can see in the video taken right after midnight the kids were still going strong as we rung in 2009.

After New Year's dinner we enjoyed doing some sparklers...

Skating

We celebrated my cousin Kayla's birthday early right after Christmas at the Richland Rollerena. Carter tried skating for the first time and even though it was slow going he did well and started to get his balance at the end. Typical Carter he wanted to hang on to the wall and go on his own, he got tired of us holding on to him quickly. No problem though we had him well padded.

Apparently one of the latest things are these flashing binkies. Carter couldn't be happier because he had an excuse to have a binky like his little brother.

Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. It was exciting to celebrate Logan's first Christmas and Carter loved decorating the house and all our family traditions. We took him to see the Living Nativity and that got him really excited about the Christmas story, he is still playing like he is in the "nativity scene" as he tells us. He likes to be a Roman soldier and Logan plays baby Jesus.

Santa brought Carter a castle with knights this year and he was so excited. He kept telling Brady and I we would never get something like that for him...only Santa, he couldn't believe it. All in all, we were just counting our blessings this year to have two wonderful boys and to be surrounded by family and friends.

Carter had Brady write a letter to Santa for him to leave with his cookies. It said, "Santa, We gave you cookies. We would like for you to give my son Carter a castle. We would like for you to give my Mommy a new list for shopping. I would also like a skateboard for when I'm older. Logan would like a daytime toy for when he is older. Love, Carter"....the things a three year old comes up with, he is so much fun.

Personalized sweatshirt from Gee Gee

One of Logan's favorite gifts was this crinkly book from Aunt Nell. He is really getting into his toys now.

Snow days

We had a lot of fun playing in the snow this year. We miss it and are still hoping maybe to get a little more before winter is over. Brady finally got his long awaited snow shoes, a set both for him and Carter, and it was so cool it snowed the very next day so they got to try them out.
