Fishing

We went camping at Tucannon this weekend and the boys had a great time fishing.  Carter was so excited because he got his first lure and was really fishing instead of reeling in a plastic fish this year.  He practiced casting for an hour the night before we left and he is really good.  He woke up at 6 a.m. Saturday ready to go fishing.  He had a great time and helped catch lots of fish.  He helped release all of them and then would run over immediately for a wipe (he is his Mommy's kid after all).

Too much excitement for Logan...

It was beautiful up there with lots of spring blooms....

Here is a video of Carter reeling in a fish by himself with Papa's fly pole.

Mother's Day

Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day.  I enjoyed my Day my boys brought me breakfast in bed, Carter had the sweetest message in my card, and he painted my toe nails.  It was really special now that Carter is old enough to play an active roll in the day.  He wanted to get me yellow toe nail polish but thankfully they only had pink. :)  Then I got to celebrate with my Mom and Grandma which made it really special.

Its probably hard to see but the boys both had Mom with a heart around it tattooed on their arms when I woke up.

Fresh cookies and water

Carter and his buddy Lucas had a bake sale during our yard sale this weekend.  They did a great job.  Carter was cracking us up because he just sat at the table and called out "fresh cookies and wader".  How can you resist that?  He was quite the salesman to my Aunt who bought a cookie but didn't want a water and he told her, but it's good for you.  They took it very seriously for a few hours and then they were off playing....not bad for a 3 and 4 year old.

Her futures so bright....

Dancing

Carter loves to dance and Logan got so excited watching him we decided to have him join in.  He loved dancing with his brother.  No one in our family can make Logan laugh as easily as his brother.

Singing

Carter had his first big preschool program this week.  Each class had a verse they memorized and then they all sang songs.  It was so adorable to see all these little cuties singing and trying to keep up with the hand motions.  It makes you realize how quickly they are growing up. Seeing pictures of all the things they've done this year and Carter with all his friends made me really grateful for preschool...its been a great experience for him.

Check out this short video of Carter singing.
He's got his own moves going on - the white man rock.

Standing proud

Last Saturday (May 2nd) I went to get Logan from his crib and there he was standing up, happy as can be.  So now we lowered his crib bed and he can still pull himself up, but it is safer.  This is his new favorite thing to do.

Mmmm....toes

Rockin'

Here is Logan rocking.

Foot prints

We made this shirt using Logan's foot print's when he was 4 months old.  We bought a large size so he could grow into it, I can't believe he's gotten so big.

Cowboys

Logan loves riding on the rocking horse.  Every time he is in Carter's room he scoots over to it and grabs hold.  Since we had Logan rocking on the horse Carter had to make sure and get him a hat and scarf and dress himself up too.

Easter

We had a great Easter celebrating with our family. Unfortunately we had to do our egg hunts in the house because of the rain but we still had fun and didn't break anything. :) It was special to see two Easter baskets setting out this year, just a sign that our family is grown. We are so blessed.

Carter and Logan were spoiled with Easter gifts from the family.

Carter was so excited to check out his Easter basket he was literally bouncing in our room waiting for Daddy to get up.

Logan loved tearing into his and exploring everything inside, including the grass.

Logan and Maddi

Here is a sweet moment between Logan and Maddi.  Logan is just really discovering the cats and really fascinated by them.  Maddi loves the attention.

New Tricks

Carter is showing off his somersault.

We were trying to get a video of Logan sitting up by himself and captured his first ever scoot. He did get the remote we just cut it off the video too soon.  We better get ready, trouble is coming. :) (Logan is 7 1/2 mos. old -- April 16th)

The man shed

The boys have spent many nights and weekends building a shed in the backyard, even in the pouring rain.  They've had a lot of fun and learned a lot the hard way.  We now have stucco and are waiting for it to dry so it can be painted (that will be a few weeks away).  We've had a lot of help from friends and family that we GREATLY appreciate.  More pictures to come...

Ready for stucco - yes, finally!  We're all ready for a break from building the shed, especially Brady.

The brothers patiently watching and waiting.

The best thing about the whole experience for Carter has been all the time he has spent with both Papas.  But now that things have slowed down he is constantly telling me how he misses them.

Carter all ready to help Daddy.

Having fun

We took a trip to Seattle with Brady when he was on business. While he was working the boys and I had some fun with Aunt Carly taking in the sites.

Check out the tulips on Pike Street.

Carter is really in to the Space Needle, he points it out everywhere we go in Seattle and he loved going up to the observation deck. He also wore his bateman cape and mask so he was a main attraction as well...some lady even took his pictures.

We went to the IMAX and saw a 3D movie about sea life. It was nice and relaxing.

Brotherly love

Here are some great pics of Logan and Carter enjoying each other. Everyday Carter tells me how he loves Logan, as soon as he wakes up he looks for him and he can't go to bed without giving him a hug and kiss. Logan always has a smile and laugh for Carter and is totally entertained by him. Watching these brothers makes me realize how awesome it is to grow up with someone and I appreciate the relationship I have with my sisters.

Carter cleared out all Logan's toys from this basket and then put him in. Logan didn't make a sound, he thought it was great. I knew I needed to scold Carter for picking up his brother, but it was too funny...after you laugh and take pictures I think it hurts your credibility. :)

Sitting up

Logan started siting up on February 18th. He loves to sit up because now he can see everything that is going on and it is easier to play with his toys. These are pictures from the first day he started sitting up by himself at 5 1/2 months

Valentine's Day

On Valentine's Logan had his first solid foods. He loves eating and his big brother loves to help feed him.

Carter had his first Valentine's party at preschool. He took Cookie Monster valentine's and fruit roll-ups. He did a great job decorating his card holder and he was so excited to check out his goodies inside you would have thought it was Christmas.
