Fire station

For Carter's 4th birthday we went on a tour of the fire station and then went back to our house for lunch, cake and games.  The boys really loved the tour.  They had a ton of questions for the firemen - what's in there, what does that do, can we see it?  They thoroughly checked out the firetruck, the ambulance and their living quarters.  It was a great day.

Lucas found a new way to hold his hat.
They challenged the boys to lift the EMT bag to see how heavy it is.  To Carter that was a challenge - it took him a couple of tries, but he got it off the ground.
The ride back was filled with debate on who their favorite superhero is.
Back to station #4 -

Carter was so excited to get his long awaited light saber -
according to him he has been waiting for 5 years for this.

Happy 4th Carter!

Carter is 4...where does the time go?  We are so proud of our big boy and can't believe how much he has grown and learned in the last 4 years.  We are so blessed to have him in our lives.  I couldn't resist putting together pictures to show the change over the last 4 years.  Enjoy.

Playing the the sand

When we went down to the beach for a fire it was a little chilly so we found a protected spot in the beach grass to play in the sand.  It was great, protected from the wind it was like a big sand box for the kids and they had a blast.

Seaside trip

We had a great time at the beach.  We have been going so many years for spring break that we haven't been able to swim and splash around in the ocean.  We enjoyed it so much and even were warm enough to try skim boarding.  We have decided from now on it is only going to be summer at the beach for us - it is so much fun.  There are a couple of great videos at the bottom to check out.

We enjoyed having Cindy and Kayla from Denver - we always have
a good time when they are around.

Carter always makes a friend wherever we go.  Here he is with a buddy putting back a little fish we caught that came up with the tide - they were everywhere.Align Center
Even Logan is trying out the skim board.

Letting off rocket balloons at the beach.

After church Sunday we went to check out the McMenamin's at Seaside.
Nothing like a beach sunset...the end of a beautiful day and wonderful trip.

Carter swam on his own for the first time during this trip.  He also invented a front flip/dive that he is demonstrating here. :)
