In February we celebrated my Dad's 60th birthday and Danelle's 25th. It was a fun party with family and friends.

Valentine's Tea
We had our annual Valentine's Day tea with my family and high school friends, it has become something to really look forward to. I love to catch up with everyone and I love the stories everyone shares each year, especially my Grandma telling us all her wonderful adventures from her younger years that she rarely speaks of.
It feels like we were just in high school and here we are all grown up with our little ones, who aren't looking so little anymore. (Sarah with Grace, me and Carter, Val with Serena)
While all the old people were talking the kids moved on to better things like building a fort and working out. :)
On the slopes again
Two babies and four years later I finally went snowboarding. I was hesitant after so long but it was a great time and I remembered why I missed it so much. Thanks Kristi and Ryan for getting us going again.
Kristi and Ryan hanging on...
We checked and Carter's snowman was still there a week later.
A Sweet Night
We had a sweet Valentine's Day with our boys and then Mommy and Daddy got to sneak out to a movie at bed time. Daddy worked hard and made us all sushi and we loved it, it was delicious! Thanks Daddy!
I love these chopsticks that our friend Emily gave us when Carter was just a toddler...he loves his sushi
I had to capture this...Logan praying at dinner. He has been watching us pray each night at dinner and Carter always rests his head on his hands so this is Logan's version...I love it!
Each boy got a little kids box of chocolate on their present and so we let Logan eat one and he was in heaven (above). We didn't give him anymore though until he found Carter's box on top of the table several weeks later and I came in and found him on the table shoving one in as fast as he could (below). Blanket baby
Logan loves blankets and especially his little snugglies. He has loved to have a blanket close to his face since he was a baby. Now that he is bigger he loves to grab up as many blankets as he can when we come to get him from his crib and bring them along to snuggle. He has little blankets and snugglies all over the house and every time he finds one he has to grab it up and snuggle it. I wanted to capture a few pictures of his love for blankies.

These are all the blankets that Logan brought out of his crib.

Breaking out the snowshoes
Our family headed up to Whitepass for a few days in search of snow. We went snowshoeing on their beautiful Nordic track around the lake a few times. It was a ton of fun for all of us. We were really proud of Carter since last year he would walk about 10 feet and he was tired but he walked more than half the time with breaks getting pulled on the sled in between. He really enjoyed exploring the crevices where snow doesn't fall around the trees, the frozen lake, ice and all the cool things about snow. We also left quite a few snowmen behind and did some sledding. It was beautiful weather and we really enjoyed getting away.
My boys - I'm so blessed

Carter checking out some icicles
Brady and Logan explored some fresh powder but Logan dropped his binky so I had to retrace their steps looking for a white binky... and I found it I couldn't believe it

Carter climbing the mountain

He did it...yeah!

Carter's family of snowmen...according to Carter there is a Mommy and a Daddy and a baby and when i asked him about the big snowball (not pictured) that was not finished he said that was the Uncle who went to heaven. I have no idea where that came from :)
Logan kept taking his gloves off the first day so we found some duct tape and taped them to his jacket...he didn't like it at first, but his hands were warm.
Digging down to see the frozen lake

Carter wanted to be buried just like at the beach...Logan thought it was funny, Carter not so much
This tree was sticking out of the snow just enough to form a cross...pretty awesome.
Kid's expo
A few weeks ago we took the kids to the Kid's Expo at the TRAC and it was a lot of fun. They had all kinds of free games and activities. Carter and Logan had a great time, they really enjoyed the bouncy houses, the sand tables filled with bird seed and the gymnastics area. It was a real eye opener to how much Logan can do now and so sweet to see how much the boys enjoyed being and playing together. The funniest thing was Logan's obsession with balloons. He got a balloon and even though it was tied onto his wrist it slipped off and floated up to the ceiling with about a hundred other lost balloons. He was constantly pointing to it and talking no matter where we went in the building. So Brady got him a new balloon and we tied it to his waist but you can see in this first picture he did not let go of it no matter what...he wasn't going to lose that one.
The kids climbed up the mats and they had someone help them slide off the big one. This was one of their favorite activities, they kept going back.

Arizona
Carter got to tag along with Brady to Arizona on a business trip and they met up with Papa and Dawna. They had a great time and Papa and Dawna got to babysit while Daddy worked. The weather wasn't too good and not all their plans worked out but that doesn't matter when you are 4, excuse me 4 1/2 as Carter constantly reminds us, he just enjoyed being with his family.
His new pair of cowboy boots them bought him.

Cart cruisin'
When we are out doing boring things like shopping we try to have a little fun. I try to catch a few fun moments with my phone on my camera and send them to Daddy to let him know we are thinking about him. Here's a couple. The first one Logan is giving Carter kisses and he is so funny now because he likes to give everyone kisses goodnight and he makes the little kissing sound, which is hilarious.

Logan and Carter helping me pick out some new sunglasses. Can you guess what happened to my last pair?....Logan :)

Logan's other favorite activity in the cart is to pet his brother's hair...it is soft.
My little sweetheart
Just a couple of sweet stories about my big boy. Last Sunday afternoon I was driving him to a birthday party for his favorite girl in his preschool class, Madison, that he talks about constantly. In the car he commented on what a nice sunny day it was and then he asked if he could pray to God about it...sure. His prayer went like this" Dear God, thank you for this nice sunny day, please keep my family safe and please help us find Madison's house, Amen." I just love how he appreciated something simple like sunshine and his first thought was to thank God.
Tonight Carter got $10 in the mail from his Nana to get a toy. Daddy took him to the store and instead of getting the toy he really wanted, he picked something less expensive so that he could buy his baby brother a football that Logan wanted. I am so proud of him.
Uh oh
This morning Carter was getting ready for school and we were trying to be quite since Logan was still sleeping. He just got dressed and we headed into the kitchen to get breakfast and we heard Logan's door moving a little. I opened the door and there he was, he had climbed out of his crib and was trying to open the door without making a sound.
I couldn't believe it. I am a little amazed that he has already figured out how to climb out of his crib, but a little freaked out. What do you do with a 17 month old that can climb out of his crib? Little stinker :)
