Shannon took a home pregnancy test and found out the great news......we're expecting. No one else was home so she had to celebrate with the cats. What a night for Brady to work late and for friends to visit for dinner. It was two long hours before Shannon could share the news with Brady. Shannon had the pregnancy test in a box with a ribbon on it and gave it to Brady. It was a great surprise to find out the positive result!!
You dont' realize what a blessing from God pregnancy is until it actually happens to you.

We shared the good news with Carly over a burrito at Taco Bell. We know she is excited to have a niece or nephew on the way because she has been sharing the good news with her friends. It was harder to tell with the first response we got.....Whatever. We do know she isn't too anxious to be called aunt though, she thinks it makes her sound old.

We spent an early Christmas with Dad and Dawna skiing in Whistler, BC. We surprised them with the news over dinner. We had a poem in a Christmas card to break the big news. Once they caught on to theme there were lots of tears and hugs to go around.

This was the day we told everyone else in the family that they were going to be grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, etc..... We called my mom and told her over the phone. We told the Ross's after opening presents. We told the Richmond's after opening presents as well. Here is the poem we gave to all the Grandparents-to-be ~ I do not have a face to see, or put inside a frame. I do not have soft cheeks to kiss; I do not yet have a name. You can’t yet hold my tiny hands, nor whisper in my ear. It’s still too soon to sing a song, or cuddle me so near. But all will change come August, that’s when they say I’m due. I’m your new Grandchild; can’t wait to meet you. All I ask between now and then is your patience while I grow. I promise I’ll be worth the wait, because of the love we’ll know. So have a merry Christmas a wish to you from me. I cannot wait to be a part of this wonderful family.

We met with a nurse at APW (Associated Physicians for Woman) and had a question and answer session on the do's and dont's during pregnancy. This made us really feel like real parent's to be.
