This is how Logan rolls

On Wednesday Logan rolled for the first time, three times in a row. Luckily I caught it on video because he would not roll when we tried to show Daddy and Carter.

Preschool christmas celebration

Because of the snow Carter's class missed their christmas party. They had a make-up party the first week in January and they recited this verse for the parents. Maybe (definitely) I am just a cheesy Mom, but I think it is adorable.

New Year's

We had a fun new year's eve ringing it in with friends. Carter's first time staying up until midnight. You can see in the video taken right after midnight the kids were still going strong as we rung in 2009.

After New Year's dinner we enjoyed doing some sparklers...

Skating

We celebrated my cousin Kayla's birthday early right after Christmas at the Richland Rollerena. Carter tried skating for the first time and even though it was slow going he did well and started to get his balance at the end. Typical Carter he wanted to hang on to the wall and go on his own, he got tired of us holding on to him quickly. No problem though we had him well padded.

Apparently one of the latest things are these flashing binkies. Carter couldn't be happier because he had an excuse to have a binky like his little brother.

Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. It was exciting to celebrate Logan's first Christmas and Carter loved decorating the house and all our family traditions. We took him to see the Living Nativity and that got him really excited about the Christmas story, he is still playing like he is in the "nativity scene" as he tells us. He likes to be a Roman soldier and Logan plays baby Jesus.

Santa brought Carter a castle with knights this year and he was so excited. He kept telling Brady and I we would never get something like that for him...only Santa, he couldn't believe it. All in all, we were just counting our blessings this year to have two wonderful boys and to be surrounded by family and friends.

Carter had Brady write a letter to Santa for him to leave with his cookies. It said, "Santa, We gave you cookies. We would like for you to give my son Carter a castle. We would like for you to give my Mommy a new list for shopping. I would also like a skateboard for when I'm older. Logan would like a daytime toy for when he is older. Love, Carter"....the things a three year old comes up with, he is so much fun.

Personalized sweatshirt from Gee Gee

One of Logan's favorite gifts was this crinkly book from Aunt Nell. He is really getting into his toys now.

Snow days

We had a lot of fun playing in the snow this year. We miss it and are still hoping maybe to get a little more before winter is over. Brady finally got his long awaited snow shoes, a set both for him and Carter, and it was so cool it snowed the very next day so they got to try them out.

Baby dedication

In November we did the baby dedication ceremony with Logan. We commit as parents to raise him in a way that is pleasing to the Lord and dedicate ourselves to teaching him about Christ. It was really special to have all our family there and to be able to dedicate him along with so many friends.

I was comparing back to when we dedicated Carter and I realize
how many more children there are now...we are really blessed.

Thanksgiving celebration

Carter had his first Thanksgiving celebration at preschool. They sang songs and their teachers dressed up and acted out the first Thanksgiving story. Their teachers read off what they are thankful for which was on a feather and then each child put them on the big turkey on the wall. Most kids were thankful for their crayons, bike or toys. Carter was thankful for "All the animals that God made", that is so him.

Carter made both this Indian hat that he wore for the celebration
and this pilgrim hat that Logan had to try on when we got home.

Tourists in Seattle

In early November we went to Seattle with Brady and while he was working we played. We went on a duck tour that took us downtown Seattle and Lake Union. I would recommend it to anyone, we had a great time and enjoyed all the driver's jokes and music. Carter had a lot of fun and we had to pretend that our car was a duck and we took a lot of tours in the Tri-Cities in the weeks to follow.

Logan 2 months

Logan is two months old. When he went to the doctor we got his latest stats:
Weight: 11 lbs. 8 oz. (33%)
Height: 23 inches (31%)
Head circumfernce: 40.3" (97%)

His neck is getting so strong we decided to try ouy the Bumbo.

Just for fun I got out Carter's baby book to compare. At two months Carter was:

Weight: 12 lbs. 12 oz. (75%)
Height: 25" (97%)

You can tell he was quite a bit bigger in this picture of Carter when he was the same age. They grow up so fast.

Halloween

Our Halloween started out with a neighborhood parade and after tricking Carter into eating something healthy we went trick-or-treating with friends and ended with dessert. Yes, I think it was Carter's perfect night. We all had a lot of fun. Carter was a cowboy riding a horse, Logan a chick hatching out of an egg and Brady was the incredible hulk.

Brady pushing Allan in the parade, no that is not a costume he is really hurt. I think Allan should get a #1 Dad award for taking the wheelchair.

Carter would only pose with the Tuan family...can't blame him they are adorable.

Logan has no choice so here is our family photo.

Mario and... we're not sure what he is :) (Miami Vice)

Eating cookies at the end of the night....yes we are crazy.
