Hot air balloons

We went to see the hot air balloons in Prosser for the first time.  It was definitely worth getting up early for.  You can get up close to them setting up and they are all around you.  The coolest thing is they get points for touching their baskets on the river and you can see it makes for a very picturesque setting with the mountains behind them.  It was absolutely beautiful.  Thanks Karen for showing us the ropes.

If you look close you can see the water coming off the basket.

The boys were totally into watching the balloons but it was early in the morning so you can see Daddy had his hands full.

Peach picking

Peach picking again...I love picking the peaches, it is so much fun for the kids, but the canning I could do without.  Carter was a big help and filled a whole bucket himself.  This was the first year Logan was big enough to enjoy this event.  He loved it but it is a lot of work trying to keep a one year old from picking up every rotten peach on the ground. :)

These next two pictures are my favorite.  Here is the sweet picture of a loving big brother sharing with his little brother.
Here is the reality when big brother decides you really don't need that peach and can't be trusted with it, as little brother desperately chases it.

1st day of preschool

Carter is already back to school, wow the summer goes fast.  Here is Carter's first day of school picture.  He's got his "Life is Good" shirt his Dad got him for his first day of school and a really cool spike that he styled himself. :)  We got pictures with Logan just like last year and it seems crazy that he was a newborn then and now we can't even get him to stand still for a picture with his big brother.

Here's an alligator puppet Carter made at school with the "a" he wrote on the front.

Carter quotes

Carter is always saying something funny but it is hard to remember and get it written down.  Here are a few things we enjoy.

He loves to be spun around, but when he gets down he always tells me "Mom I am so busy", doesn't matter how many times I tell him its dizzy so for now I just enjoy it.

He always has to tell Logan good night and give him kisses before each nap and bedtime.  This morning he told Logan, "Don't let the bad bugs bite" - that is even scarier than bed bugs. :)

Disneyland

We took the boys to Disneyland and they loved it.  We went on lots of rides, we did the character breakfast, and we saw the fireworks and fantasmic show.  It was all awesome.  I think you can really appreciate how amazing Disneyland is once you are an adult and there is nothing better than watching your kids enjoy it.

Carter loved the character breakfast - he got pictures and autographs of all the characters and they were so sweet giving him fives and hugs.

His favorite was The Fairy Godmother because he could see her face and talk to her.
Logan was scared of some of the characters but he loved Eyore
for some reason and kept petting him.
Snow White and the seven dwarfs behind us.
Sleeping Beauty's castle

The Mad Hatter's tea cups - I loved these when I was little

One of Logan's favorite rides was the carousel before we got on he was dancing to the music and waving at the horses and after we left he tried to open the exit gate and get back in.  We did this ride several times.
Peter PanAlign Center
Carter and Logan's favorite ride was the Nemo submarine - they loved getting down into the boat and everything you could see in the water.  Logan was so excited talking and looking back and forth between his window and Carter's window.
Carter got to build his own light saber
Lego store in Downtown Disney - its impressive what they make out of Legos

Rafting game at ESPN store
Logan was fascinated with the fish tank at Rainforest Cafe
in Downtown Disney - this is Carter's favorite restaurant

Visiting in California

We spent a fun couple of days visiting our friends Jeanne, Todd and Avery in California.  We had a great time hanging out at their house and swimming at the beach.  It was a great time.

Playing at Corona Del Mar beach
The waves were so small that Carter was able to swim in
the ocean with his floaties - the water felt so good.
