Ka'anapali, Hawaii

We had a great time in Hawaii this June. Brady and I wanted to go back to Maui since we are celebrating our 10 year anniversary and our honeymoon was in Maui. Ten years ago it was just the two of starting our lives together and now we got to go back with our two sweet boys and enjoy watching them experience Hawaii. They both loved the beach, splashing in the waves, digging in the sand, looking at the fish and sea turtles. We had a wonderful time. We stayed two different places to experience the different beaches and areas these pictures are from Ka'anapali on the Northwest shore. We stayed at a great hotel with a kids pool area that we could hardly drag the boys away from.

Carly came with us to watch the boys so we could have some alone time, it was great to have help and the boys loved having their Aunt along.

We went to a Luau at our hotel on our second night in Maui. The boys really enjoyed it, especially the slap dance the guys did which they imitated in the hotel room later.
Here's a video of the slap dance
The boys were really into the show,
Logan was even dancing in the aisles.
Carter and Logan got a hand carved sea turtle and he engraved it on the bottom for them.

The kids loved watching the penguins in the hotel lobby.
Another bonus for boys - lizards are all over the place.Align Center

The kiddie pool at our hotel was great. The boys could touch everywhere, so when Logan was in his life jacket we could just relax on the lounge chairs. There is a sand table in the pool, a water slide and splash park. Even Carly missed the kiddie pool when we switched hotels.
Logan always find something that looks fuSSn to jump off of.

Cannon Ball....

Carter is doing such a great job swimming, we are so proud of him. Tonight when we went to the pool he wanted to jump off the diving board. We were so impressed as he did Cannon Balls off the diving board and swam to the edge by himself. He would have jumped all night if we let him.

Good Morning

This morning as soon as Carter woke up he came into our bed and snuggled with us and went back to sleep. A little while later Logan comes in happy as can be toting his blanket, snuggie, and little blue bear. He climbs into bed and gives everyone kisses with his little bear. He was so cute, he said everyone's name "Mama" then made kissing sounds and had his bear kiss me, then "Dada" and kisses from the bear, then "Bro Bro" (his name for Carter) and kisses from his bear. I love that he is so sweet and happy in the morning that he is entertaining himself for five minutes just giving everyone kisses with his little bear. What a perfect way to start your day.

Fun on the farm

This year we have joined a CSA program through Schreiber & Sons farm. Every Memorial Day they host a farm tour and barbeque so we thought it would be fun to check it out. The food was delicious and the kids had a great time exploring the farm, running around with the kids, and Logan found every mud puddle within two miles. We finished the night with s'mores...what could be better.

Here's our little jumper...
Check out Daddy's antenna
When they said roast marshmallow and hot dogs this was not what I had in mind...thankfully they had little fires for roasting
This little boy takes after his Mommy...there's nothing he likes more than a s'more
I think they call that s'more comatose...time to go.

Visit with Nana Vesta

We kept Nanna Vesta entertained while she was here. We had a great time exploring the nature trail down by the Yakima River. We also took her to Walla Walla for the first time and explored that area for a day. We took her to a great French restaurant called Brasserie Four. The food was delicious and the best part is they seated us next to the play area so the kids were entertained while we relaxed and enjoyed our dinner.

The boys like nothing better than a little freedom to explore on their own.

Three things that make a perfect restaurant: 1. great food - check
2. play area next to your table - check
3. Old fashioned candy store across the street for dessert - check
