NYC Uptown

This is from the Boathouse in Central Park where we enjoyed a fabulous dinner and even better view. It is a beautiful spot where you can grab a drink, dinner or rent a row boat.
The front steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Greek and Roman art
Van Gogh
Monet
If you have seen The Thomas Crown Affair you might recognize this....Haystacks
This was a special exhibit on the patio of the Met. It is a mass of bamboo tied together with rope. They are still constructing it and it has stairs so that you can climb to the top.
The artists working...
The Guggenheim
Some of the beautiful churches in the uptown area
The Empire State Building was only two blocks from our hotel. We went up at night and took in all the lights. It was amazing because you can see past Manhattan Island across the rivers and as far as you can see there is a see of lights.
The Chrysler building behind me.
A few shots of where we stayed, Hotel Metro. We loved this glowing sign because it made it easy for us to find our hotel at night.

New York - New York

I know why those I ♥ NY shirts are everywhere and I definitely fell in love with New York. The food, the shopping, and the sights. There is so much to do and see. We started by touring down town and eating at the best deli. We toured Rockefeller Center and then went to the Top of the Rock, which is the observation deck at Rockefeller Center. That night we went to a Broadway show, Memphis, that I highly recommend and then shopped in Times Square until Midnight.

Outside the Shubert Theater. Memphis is a great show,
full of energy, great dancing, music, and stage effects.
