Raising tadpoles

Nana brought us some tadpoles near the end of the school year. We raised them all summer and the boys loved watching them grow and change into frogs. It was a sad day for them when we released them at the pond by our house, but a great experience overall.

Tucannon

We did our annual camping trip to the Tucannon area this year, just a little later in the summer than usual. The main event is always the fishing and hiking. The campground had a Hawaiin theme this year and the boys enjoyed crafts, games, ice cream and a campground parade. It was a great weekend.

Checking out the Lewis & Clark exhibit on the way back to Dayton.
Papa got Carter a new pole as an early birthday present.
Dressing up for the parade.

Mini Sky-hawk camp

Carter did the mini sky-hawk camp this year. It was a week long, morning only camp in July. They worked on basketball, baseball and soccer. He had so much fun and made several "best" friends as usual. We were really proud of him and plan to do this again next year.

Fireworks

We headed back from the beach on the fourth since Brady had to work the next day. We enjoyed a fireworks show prepared by Aunt Nell at Gee Gee's house. The boys had the most fun taking turns picking out the next firework.

Beach camping

We had a great time camping in Canon Beach over the fourth of July. Our campsite was just a few blocks from downtown so we rode our bikes around spent a lot of time lounging and playing at the beach. We went into town for ice cream, salt water taffy and fresh clams to steam....yum! We had such a great time and the weather was so nice we are already planning our trip for next year.
Logan loves to experience things while Brady holds him or he rides on Brady's back. Apparently to Logan its much safer and just as much fun to skim board this way.
Carter's favorite thing was definitely exploring the tide pools, he loved finding all the hermit crabs.
Logan loved the starfish and anemones. He made sure and loudly pointed out "starfish" everywhere he saw one, he got more than a few laughs from people around us.
If you ask Carter what is his favorite thing he saw, it is this Dungeness crab.
Our sweet little boy!
I love the joy boys get just digging in the sand.
Our campground had a great indoor swimming pool.
Logan bringing back the firewood in the bike trailer and trying to cut it with a plastic knife.
Making s'mores with the neighbor kids.
Carter took this pictures, we were impressed.
The boys had a great time collecting big pieces of drift wood and making a creation.

Shannon's Birthday

On my birthday we had a great time gathering as a family at "Frost Me Sweet". The food was great I had the best seafood pizza ever and the cupcakes were delicious. Everyone pitched in and made me the cute flower pots filled with gift certificates, which I have been enjoying all summer.

Swim lessons

The boys did a great job at swim lessons this summer and had a great time. It was really fun for Logan because he got to do lessons on his own this year just like his big brother. We can't believe what a little fish he is. He was so busy going under water his teacher would give him the job of going underwater and picking up all the toys while he was waiting for his turn.
Carter is doing a great job working on his strokes and made instant friends with his classmates as usual.
Noodle races on the last day of class.
