Natalie's dedication

On October 15th we attended a dedication ceremony at our church. Our family is committing to teach Natalie about Jesus and train her in the ways of the Lord. Brady and I often think of the verse in Ephesians 6:4 ,"Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord."

It is even more meaningful to make this commitment now that we have seen what a huge difference knowing Jesus has had with our boys. We were blessed to have all our family there to support her.  It is so amazing to have our baby girl we prayed for here and healthy.

Our family, minus my Dad that had to leave early to watch the rest of the football game.

Harvest Festival

Papa Fred and Dawna came for a visit the beginning of October.  We met up with Crystal and Cara at Suncadia for the Harvest Festival and had a great time.  We enjoyed great weather, beautiful scenery and good company.
King of the hay stack

Carter and I raced through the tires and he beat me every time.

Carter had a great time catching grasshoppers

Carter was happy he got to ride a horse instead of a pony.

This is Logan's third attempt at riding a pony.  It's something he always wants to do, but then gets scarred, so we were all excited for him.

Kisses from Aunt Crystal & Cara

Nothing's better than free bouncy houses...the kids can't get enough.

Brady, Crystal and Cara took part in a 5K run, while we hunted for wild mushrooms, grasshoppers and climbed the hay bales.

Ferry Ride

When we went to Seattle for Brady's company barbeque, we took the kids on a ferry ride to Bainbridge Island. They loved riding the ferry and watching the cars load on. We loved walking around Bainbridge island, doing a little shopping, and having lunch. Every time Logan sees a boat now he tells the story of going on the ferry and he always makes a point to say that the ferry didn't sink...not sure why, that's why 3 year olds are so entertaining.
Some great views of Seattle.
Hanging with Nana
They have all these really cool statues made out of rock all over the town.
Looking at the Starfish while we are waiting for lunch.

Visit with Nana Vesta & Bill

Nana Vesta and Bill came to visit and meet our new baby girl in September. We had a relaxing time doing a little fishing, having a great clam bake thanks to Papa Dan, a little croquet in the dark, walking Carter to school, and of course plenty of time doting over Natalie.

Natalie's first month

Here are some pictures of our sweet girl in her first month. She is certainly adored by her family.

Every time Logan sees Natalie he says "Oh, hi Natavie" in his high pitched voice, like he just discovered a new toy.

The first peek at her belly button. She lost it when we were in Seattle at a hotel on September 11th. We were so excited for her because now we can give her baths.
Carter loves the way she smells.

Daddy's been head-over-heals since the minute she was born, but in this picture it looks like she's not sure about this guy....cracks me up.
Natalie was born almost a year to the time we lost our baby last year. Its amazing how we've healed and how much can change in one year. This is Natalie on the bench we got to remind us of the little one we lost.
Gee Gee has been over to our house more than ever, she can't get enough of Natalie.
All the beautiful flowers our friends & family sent to celebrate Natalie's arrival.
Carter was treating this bear like his baby and I went to check on Natalie and saw his baby was sleeping with her.

Our big Kindergartener!

Carter was so ready to start Kindergarten. Anytime someone asks how Kindergarten is going he automatically says he loves it. He has so much fun learning, going to library, p.e., art and music and playing with his friends. He told Brady the other day the person he loves most in the whole school is his teacher. We are really blessed to be at such a great school.

Ready for his first day.
Going in his classroom.

Carter's already found a good buddy, here they are goofing off at open house

Carter drew this picture of his family for open house. From left to right: Daddy, holding Natalie, Mommy, Carter and Logan....love it!
Brady took the picture below right after the school was built and then on his first day...look how he's grown.
