Ohio & Kentucky Trip

When Carter was 4, I took him on a special trip to see my family and friends in Kentucky.  It was so much fun, I told myself that when Logan was 4, we would do the same.  We packed up and I as always was a bit over ambitious as to what we could fit into the trip.  My wish list was to see my mom and her side of the family, see my grandma and spend a night at her house, see my Dickhaus aunts, uncles, cousins, and...time permitting, see my two great high school friends and family since its our 20 year since graduation.  In the end, I had an unforgettable time with my "Logan Boy" and a memory building experience for us both.   It was very special to have Logan with me and spend a night at my Grandma's playing in the basement I grew up playing in, with a lot of the same toys.  There is also something very special about seeing my two great high school friends, Bryan and Brian with their wives and children, and them playing with Logan.  Life is good, isn't it...

Tie Dye Shorts

The Hastings came over after church and taught us how to Tie Dye.  It was fun to see the kids be creative then wear their creations.

Kayaking on the Columbia

We had a little fun kayaking at Leslie Grove park in late Sept.  Carter and his friend Ryan took the double kayak and had a great time figuring out the concept of team rowing.  I got to take my girl for her first kayak ride and I loved every minute of it!  We didn't get a picture of Logan but he was my trusty co-pilot.

Carter's 1st Grade Open House

Carter's open house at school was a real blessing to see what he's learning.  He has his own desk and the class created a quilt with each student having their own square.  He also created a picture story of his family and a self portrait of himself.  We feel completely blessed that he is in a good school and learning much more than we even knew he's capable of.  Thank you God!

Peach Pickin

We made our annual trip to Ray French Orchard to pick peaches.  Not only did we eat too many, when we got home made we had cobbler, ice cream & peaches, and more peaches, then tummy ache.

Logan's First Day of School

Logan's first day of pre-school at Little Sprouts.  He was excited to wear his back pack and go to school the same time as his brother.

Carter's First Day of School

Carter's first day of 1st grade at White Bluffs Elementary.  Full days at school, lunch, and homework!  Its sure tough to watch these kids get older and let go of them as they grow.

Easter 2012

It was a special Easter this year because Natalie is here to celebrate it with us and big enough to enjoy rummaging around her Easter basket.  Although we dearly missed Gee Gee and Grandpa (the ultimate egg hider) we enjoyed one last year of egg hunts at their house.  We have been hunting eggs there as long as I can remember and it was sad to think this will be the last time, but special to have all three of our kids get to hunt their eggs there one more time.

Logan showing off his eggs.  He did better than me, I never did find my egg. :)

Plastic egg hunt all set up.
We used to do this every year at Gee Gee and Grandpa's country club and now it has been a tradition for us to race in the back yard.
 Nice haul boys
